OpenAI has announced that its AI image generator DALL-E is now available without a waitlist and new users can immediately start creating images from text. “Starting today, we are removing the waitlist for the DALL-E beta so users can sign up and start using it immediately,” the company says in a press release. DALL-E has taken a different approach from some of its rivals as it attempts to stamp out misuse of the technology, such as those who intend to create deepfakes or pornographic material.

The text-to-image generator will remain in beta and pricing will continue to be the same as the waitlist period with first-time users receiving a capped amount of credits. “Starting today, we are removing the waitlist for the DALL-E beta so users can sign up and start using it immediately,” the company says in a press release.
